Automation Maintenance Technician

Title: Automation Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Leola, PAOverview: Our client is seeking a hands-on Automation Maintenance Technician to support electrical and mechanical systems across their Leola manufacturing facility. This role focuses on maintaining, programming, and troubleshooting PLC-based automation systems while performing a broad range of electromechanical maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment reliability and uptime.Key Responsibilities:Install, program, and maintain Allen-Bradley PLCs and associated control systems.Troubleshoot and repair automated machinery, electrical panels, sensors, and drives.Support system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives related to automation.Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.Diagnose and repair AC/DC motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and servo systems.Collaborate with engineers and production teams to identify automation improvements.Document system configurations, maintenance logs, and electrical updates.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.Qualifications:Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automation Technology (or equivalent experience).Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred).Proficient with electrical test equipment and mechanical repair tools.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or within a cross-functional team.Experience in manufacturing or process-driven environments highly preferred.EEO Policy: Allied Resources is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, religion, color, sex, national origin, marital status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, veteran status, or other protected classifications under law.
