To achieve this, we are looking for a Automation Platform Engineer with strong software development skills to help us design, build, and run systems that make our networks more automated, observable, and resilient.What you’ll do:As an Automation Platform Engineer, you’ll work at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure operations. You won’t need deep, traditional network engineering experience — instead, your focus will be on developing software tools, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines that enable the automation, monitoring, and lifecycle management of our network platforms.You will collaborate with network architects and reliability engineers to turn manual processes into reliable, scalable code — enabling faster delivery, reduced human error, and higher reliability across our platforms.Develop and maintain automation tools and APIs that manage and monitor network infrastructure (Python, Ansible, REST, etc.).Build and integrate CI/CD pipelines for network configuration deployment and validation.Create observability and telemetry solutions for performance monitoring and capacity insights.Contribute to infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices across the network domain.Collaborate closely with network experts to translate operational requirements into automated workflows.Participate in reliability engineering initiatives, including resilience testing, monitoring, and performance tuning.Continuously improve processes and tooling to support scalable and fault-tolerant network platforms.What will help you thrive in this role: Strong programming or scripting background (e.g., Python, Go, or similar).Experience in building automation, CI/CD, or infrastructure-as-code systems.Familiarity with Linux-based systems and cloud-native environments (containers, APIs, GitOps, etc.).Understanding of systems reliability, observability, and automation principles.Interest in networking technologies — no deep expertise required, but curiosity to learn how networks work programmatically.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Why You’ll Love It HereWork in a cutting-edge environment where software meets networking.Shape the future of how network infrastructure is deployed and managed.Autonomy and impact – you’ll build real systems that scale across Telia’s enterprise environment.Collaborative, inclusive culture that values innovation and learning.Join us to shape smarter living for people, businesses, and the planetAt Telia, we’re a team of 15 000 colleagues across the Nordics and Baltics, passionate about technology and connectivity.
