Developing machine learning (ML)-based software requires a large volume of high-quality data. We use vehicles and simulations to evaluate the software, contributing to its performance improvement. Join us in shaping the future of autonomous driving!WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Serve as the frontline technical expert maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing our fleet of autonomous vehicles (AVs). This hands-on role requires deep knowledge of automotive systems (mechanical, electrical, and Software) as well as AV-specific hardware (LiDAR, cameras, radars, and embedded compute systems). You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, and remote support teams to keep vehicles safe, available, and mission-ready.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine inspections, diagnostics, and scheduled maintenance on AVs, including ADAS sensors and base vehicle systemsTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and computer-based issues using OEM tools and proprietary diagnostic platforms Respond rapidly via Slack to faults or alert, resolving issues or coordinating vehicle recoveryFacilitate hardware/software retrofits and updates, collaborating closely with engineering teamsMinimum QualificationsOver 3 years automotive technician experience, or equivalent vocational/technical trainingProficient diagnosing & repairing mechanical, electrical, and embedded systems (CAN, HV systems, sensors)Comfortable working with EVs and hybrid drive systemsStrong computer skills: diagnostic software, a programming language, database loggingExcellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interact with engineers, operations teamsStrong safety-first mindset, familiar with OSHA or equivalent proceduresBusiness level of Japanese languageBusiness level of English languageNICE TO HAVESExperience with sensor calibration, lidar/Radar systems, embedded modulesExposure to Linux-based systemsPrevious experience in AV field operations, depot support, or R&D fleet environmentsThe knowledge about Varidation & Verification for AD/ADAS system =========================================================================Important Points・All interviews will be arranged via Google Meet, unless otherwise stated.・The same job descriptions are available in both English and Japanese; therefore, we kindly ask that you apply to only one version.・We kindly request that you submit your resume in English, if possible.
