For more information, visit www.aerovect.com.Job Description:We are looking for Autonomous Vehicle Operators to join AeroVect’s Atlanta-based team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating our autonomous airport tractors at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport as they move live cargo across the airfield. Your supervision of the vehicles will improve the performance and safety of our technology.You will work side-by-side with our engineering team, providing crucial feedback on vehicle performance and ensuring safe vehicle behavior. As part of the AeroVect team, you’ll have the chance to get hands-on with Autonomous vehicles in a fast-paced, innovative environment.Attention to detail, professionalism, care, and personal accountability – combined with a deep passion for safety – are key attributes required for the position.What You’ll Do:Operate AeroVect's autonomous vehicles at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International AirportLog vehicle behavior, performance, observations, and key metricsSupervise autonomous baggage tugs while in operation, and manually drive them to and from their storage depotConduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of the vehicles and their hardware systemsWork with the engineering team to trial and test new vehicle featuresInterface with those interacting with the vehicle on the route, as cargo and baggage are loaded for the vehicle to transportLend your expertise to the improvement of vehicle performance and handling of complex driving scenariosQualifications:Minimum QualificationsExperience operating in Airside EnvironmentsExperience handling specialty vehicle types in complex environments A valid US Class C Driver's License, with 3+ years of driving experience with a clean driving recordExperience in a lead or sole-supervisor role, demonstrating superior responsibilityBeing a reliable, detailed-oriented individual with strong communication skills Alertness and good driving instinct to monitor autonomous vehicle performanceMust be able to work flexible hours, including weekendsMust be able to pass federal background checks and receive and maintain issuance of an airport security badgePreferred Qualifications:Experience operating an autonomous vehicle, or overseeing operations of autonomous machinery Experience with safety-critical infrastructureBasic computer programming skills. ROS experience is a plus.
