As such, the field engineer provides the first line of technical support, analysis, and integration in the development of next-generation semi-autonomous driving systems.See our AV driving in Jerusalem: https://youtu.be/pDyMzz8HMIcWhat will you do?The field engineer will relocate abroad and work alongside the development teams of a leading international automotive company. The field engineer will be the liaison between Mobileye and the customer and hold a key role in Mobileye's development projects providing the customer with direct technical support. As such, the field engineer will have an influence on the design and application of advanced vision based semi-autonomous driving systems, eventually installed in millions of cars worldwide.The position will be based in Berlin ,Germany,What will your job look like?Ability to understand the entire Mobileye system and solve the customer problemsInstalling various Mobileye systems on evaluation and development vehiclesPerforming and supervising test drives on an open road and test tracksTesting performance and quality of the vision system and other sensorSupporting system integration efforts with deep "bits and bytes" understanding of the entire systemProviding expert support and training for the engineering teams on siteThe position includes office work, support at vehicle production lines and integration facilitiesTasks also include long test drives and travel to additional countriesDrive the AV in both automated and manual mode on open roads and test tracksInspecting and maintaining any malfunctions in the test vehicleGather information and upload it to the databaseSupport new systems installation in the vehicleTesting and validating end-to-end AV functionalityClose collaboration with the AV development, validation and algorithm teamsProviding expert AV test reportsRepresenting the company in customer demonstrationsAll you need is:Fluent in EnglishAdvanced driving courses (for test vehicles)B.Sc. in Electrical engineering /exact science or similar fieldValid driving licenseLinux experience2+ years of experience in customer facing roles (support / field engineer or similar)Experience in technical hands on rolesBackground in hardware or software testing - an advantage.Willingness to work in a dynamic environmentIndependent, self-disciplined, and self-containedHighly motivated and self-management skillsGreat interpersonal skills, customer facingMobileye changes the way we drive, from preventing accidents to semi and fully autonomous vehicles.
