Job DescriptionMarcus Evans, founded in 1983, is a global business intelligence and event company, with 49 offices in 20+ countries. Our client base consists of C-level executives from 98% of existing Fortune 1000 companies, leaders in industries such as healthcare, legal, pharmaceutical, investments, energy, packaging, and more.We are looking for a dedicated AV Technician to join our in-house team, with the opportunity to develop into a Lead AV Technician for our summits division within 6 months.This role is based in Nicosia, Cyprus with travel required across Europe and the U.S. for select events.This person must be willing to relocate to Nicosia.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in setting up, operating, and dismantling AV equipment for summits, working closely with the Lead AV Technician.Assist in maintaining equipment by ensuring proper handling, storage, and testing procedures are followed.Provide onsite technical support during summit events.Troubleshoot AV issues onsite and ensure smooth event execution.Adhere to company guidelines, policies, and quality standards to ensure professionalism and excellence in AV operations.Collaborate with team members to create a supportive and efficient work environment, while gaining experience in managing teams and coordinating efforts on high-profile events.Continuously improve technical skills and knowledge of company equipment to enhance performance and contribute to the success of summit events, positioning yourself for a future leadership role.Communicate effectively with onsite team members and venue staff to ensure smooth operations and successful outcomes.Remain flexible and adaptable to meet changing event requirements, and take initiative in addressing issues.Uphold a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing the company with integrity and dedication.Gain the knowledge and experience required to lead AV operations at events, with the opportunity to take on a leadership role in future summits.QualificationsAvailability to travel across Europe and the U.S. for select summits.A high understanding of audiovisual technology and equipment.Willingness to learn and take directions from the Lead AV Technician.3-5 years of experience as an AV Technician within a rental company or event venue, especially for conferences.Experience working with LED screens & digital signage for events.Good to have: Knowledge of NovaStar VX1000 and TB60 processors.Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions effectively.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with staff in a diverse environment.Ability to stay calm, professional, and proactive under pressure.Excellent time management skills.Friendly, helpful, confident, and engaging personality.Compensation & BenefitsWorking alongside an experienced international team.Opportunity for fast-track career progression into a leadership role.Be part of high-profile C-level summits, travelling to and working with top-tier professionals in premium venues.Gain valuable experience in AV operations across various European and U.S. locations.Travel, accommodation and meals at premium venues is included.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
