WHAT WE DOWe are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions: Business needs analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, . NET, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, Python. Complete Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design and implementation using mainly Vertica, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.

Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC. We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Linux Engineer to join an exciting project within a large-scale transformation program for our enterprise banking client. This is not just another operations gig - it's a true opportunity to drive automation, stabilize critical infrastructure, and bring consistency across the board in a complex, high-availability environment.

A key pillar of this project is infrastructure automation using Chef - a powerful configuration management tool used to automate and standardize infrastructure provisioning, software deployment, and system configuration. DO YOU HAVE. . . 🚀 5+ years of professional experience in Linux server administration (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu or similar distributions), including production environment troubleshooting, patching, and tuning🚀 2+ years of hands-on experience with Chef🚀 Strong scripting skills with at least one of the following:

Bash, Python, or PowerShell, preferably across multiple environments🚀 Practical experience working in enterprise environments with high availability demands and a strong focus on documentation and operational processes🚀 Comfortable working in English (both spoken and written), as the role involves Pan-Baltic collaboration and coordination with multi-national teamsBONUS SKILLS. . . Experience with Chef Habitat or Chef Automate for advanced policy and compliance managementUnderstanding of DevOps pipelines and CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery) workflowsFamiliarity with on-prem infrastructure monitoring tools (e. g.

, Prometheus, Zabbix, Grafana)Experience supporting banking or financial systems or other regulated industries with high compliance demandsProficiency in ITIL-based support models or structured incident/change management processesARE YOU WILLING TO. . .
