DevOps Windows Engineer

WHAT WE DOWe are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions: Business needs analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, . Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC. Our client, a leading enterprise banking institution (Pan-Baltic presence), is transforming its on-premises infrastructure and needs senior consultants to support this journey. At the core of this project is Chef, a powerful infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tool used to automate infrastructure configuration, deployment, and management.

As a DevOps Windows Engineer, you'll be expected to bring deep Windows Server administration experience, and apply Chef to streamline the provisioning and maintenance of critical banking systems. In short, you'll be turning manual operations into fully automated, repeatable, and predictable processes-with a focus on Windows-based environments. DO YOU HAVE. . .

🚀 5+ years of experience in Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022)🚀 3+ years of practical experience with Chef (creating cookbooks, recipes, test-kitchen, and automated deployment pipelines)🚀 3+ years of scripting experience using PowerShell, with good command of Bash and/or Python for DevOps workflows🚀 Strong knowledge of system patching, updates, backup strategies, and recovery procedures🚀 Experience with troubleshooting performance issues across Windows-based systems and applications🚀 Excellent command of spoken and written English, as you'll collaborate across Pan-Baltic teams (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia)BONUS SKILLS. . .
