Onsite ResponsibilitiesMember of the Project Engineering Team, responsible for assisting in the execution and coordination of Engineering effortsPrepare planning documents for projects execution based on scope of work, engineering resources, schedule and milestones in support of BCRsCoordinate and assist with project(s) execution for scope, cost and schedule, using EVMS and existing departmental procedures and guidance documentsAssist in the investigation, analysis and recommendation of corrective action to address project and test issuesProvide engineering support for vehicle testing and Production Verification testingPrepare necessary material and attend customer meetings as required by contract and project scope of work (In process reviews, scoring conferences, Start of Work Meetings, Technical interchange meetings, Customer Design reviews, etc.
)Liaise closely with Sub-Contractors to update schedules, assist with the resolution of day-to-day issues and provide technical guidance to the design teamsLiaise as required with other departments, ensuring that new designs are developed in accordance with the requirements of the prime contract(s)Identify, communicate and mitigate risk using IPS toolsKeep internal and external stakeholders informed of progress & statusCoordinate and support Technical Data Package change processesCoordinate with CM, Program and Contracts, Engineering responses to customer’s requestsSupport Obsolescence Management groups with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS)Support and maintain E-BOM’s & I-BOM’s for CDRL submissionsSupport Technical & System Specification reviewsSupport Failure Analysis and RCCA investigations on issues arising in production or through test & fielding Basic QualificationsUniversity Degree or college diploma in technical disciplineMinimum 3 -5 years’ relevant experienceWorking knowledge of Earned Value ManagementStrong product knowledge of LAV/mobile equipment automotive systemsHigh level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to travel (5% Canadian, 10% US & Int'l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passportMust be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Restrictions for confined workspacePreferred Qualification Engineering
