AWS Data Engineer / Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Data & Analytics Engineer / Architect to design,build, and enhance cloud-native data platforms. The role focuses on developing robust dataingestion pipelines, secure transformation layers, and enterprise-grade governance and security controls.You will work closely with technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable data solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement AWS-based data ingestion pipelines (batch or streaming).Build and optimize data transformation workflows using Glue, Lambda, StepFunctions, or EMR/Spark.Structure and maintain S3-based data lakes, including cataloging, formats(Parquet/ORC), partitioning, and lifecycle management.Ensure pipelines follow best practices in scalability, reliability, and decoupling.Implement data access controls using Lake Formation, IAM roles, KMS, andtagging strategies.Apply least-privilege, encryption, and enterprise monitoring requirements.Configure logging, auditing, and observability with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and related tools.QualificationsStrong hands-on experience with AWS analytics services: S3, Glue ETL, Glue Catalog, Lake Formation,Lambda, Step Functions, EMR/Spark,Kinesis, Kafka/MSK,Athena, Redshift (nice to have)Solid understanding of data engineering concepts:Event-driven architectures, Schema evolution and data quality,Columnar formats and partitioning strategy,CI/CD for data workflowsAbility to design simple, scalable, and maintainable cloud data architectures.Comfortable working with incomplete requirements and defining clear technical boundaries.
