Offering views of the Fort and harbour on one side and the hotel’s lush gardens and swimming pool on the other, the historic residence presents lofty-ceilinged suites, elegant dining and a tranquil Aman Spa complete with Hydrotherapy Suites.RoleAmangalla invites a skilled and compassionate Ayurveda Physician to join its wellness team. This role blends authentic Ayurvedic healing with the practice of yoga, pranayama, and meditation, ensuring guests receive a holistic and transformative experience that reflects Aman’s philosophy of balance, serenity, and personalized care. The position requires both clinical proficiency and a passion for guest engagement, creating bespoke journeys that harmonize body, mind, and spirit.ResponsibilitiesConduct detailed Ayurvedic consultations, diagnose imbalances, and recommend suitable treatments.Design and oversee personalized wellness plans that integrate therapies, diet, and lifestyle guidance.Lead daily yoga sessions (group and private), including asana, pranayama, and meditation practices.Collaborate closely with spa and wellness colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.Train and mentor, the spa and wellness team on Ayurvedic principles, yoga techniques, and holistic lifestyle practices.Educate and inspire guests on Ayurveda, nutrition, seasonal routines, and preventative wellness.Maintain accurate records of consultations, therapies, and guest feedback in line with Aman standards.Support wellness retreats, special programs, and signature experiences aligned with Amangalla’s heritage.RequirementsBachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) or equivalent recognized qualification.Certified Yoga Instructor (200-hour minimum; advanced certifications an advantage).Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in a clinical, spa, or luxury resort setting.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an empathetic, guest-oriented approach.Fluency in English; knowledge of Sinhalese.A passion for holistic living and the ability to embody Aman’s ethos of mindful service.What We OfferAt Amangalla, colleagues are at the heart of our success.
