Job title :Azure Infrastructure Architect (Hands-on Design & Provisioning)Location : Stockholm, SwedenType : Contract/PermanentRole SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Azure Infrastructure Architect to be the driving force behind the design, provisioning, and implementation of our core Azure environments. This is a technical architecture role requiring a strong background in Azure Networking, security, governance, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).The ideal candidate will move beyond theoretical design to directly implement and operationalize robust, secure, and scalable cloud solutions.Key Responsibilities and Focus AreasThe successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of Azure infrastructure, with a strong focus on provisioning:Azure Networking & Connectivity:Design and implement complex Azure Network topologies (Hub & Spoke, Virtual WAN).Expertise in Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewalls, Load Balancers, Application Gateways, and Traffic Manager.Deep experience with Hybrid connectivity solutions (ExpressRoute, Site-to-Site VPN).Landing Zone Architecture:Design, establish, and govern Azure Landing Zones according to best practices (e.g., Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework - CAF).Define and implement Azure Policy, Blueprints, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) across subscriptions.Infrastructure as Code (IaC):Mandatory hands-on experience using Terraform or Bicep for provisioning, updating, and managing all Azure infrastructure resources.Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD) using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.Core Services Provisioning:Hands-on design and implementation of IaaS services (VMs, Scale Sets) and foundational PaaS services (Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage Accounts).Ensure all provisioned infrastructure meets strict security and compliance standards.Required Experience & QualificationsThe client specifically requires candidates who are not primarily from a legacy infrastructure/ITSM background or focused solely on application/SharePoint architecture.Mandatory (Non-Negotiable) Technical Experience:5+ years of direct, hands-on experience as a Cloud or Infrastructure Engineer/Architect focused predominantly on Microsoft Azure.3+ years of continuous, production-level experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform or Bicep.Deep expertise in Azure Networking: Must demonstrate real-world experience configuring VNETs, subnets,peering, security, and hybrid connections.Proven experience setting up Azure Landing Zones or equivalent enterprise-scale governance/subscription architecture.Desired Qualifications:Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or equivalent.Certification in Terraform/HashiCorp Certified Cloud Engineer is highly desirable.
