Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identifications across field and office locations. Implement and monitor compliance with Nigerian HSE regulations. Deliver engaging HSE training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and farmer members. Investigate incidents and near-misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive measures. Maintain accurate HSE records and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies. Act as a point of contact for safety-related queries, providing expert advice and guidance. Support emergency response planning and drills. Support Last Mile Logistics and Internal Auditing. Promote environmental responsibility in line with Babban Gona’s sustainability goals.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HSE roles, preferably in agriculture, manufacturing, or field operations. Strong knowledge of Nigerian HSE laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Recognized HSE Certification. Excellent communication and training delivery skills. Ability to conduct thorough incident investigations and write clear, actionable reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic understanding of HSE reporting tools. Fluent in English; Hausa language skills are an advantage. Willingness to travel to field locations as needed.
