You’ll lead and develop the guide team, manage operations, and ensure an exceptional guest experience. This hybrid role combines program supervision (December–March) with guiding/instructing shifts.What You’ll Do (shortened version, full job description here)Supervise, coach, and mentor the guide team to ensure high standards of safety, service, and performance.Support pre-season and in-season training, focusing on skill development and safety practices.Coordinate daily operations, schedules, and logistics in collaboration with the Backcountry Manager.Uphold risk management standards through terrain assessments, safety audits, and emergency preparedness.Handle essential admin tasks such as training records, reporting, and operational planning.What You Bring3+ years of backcountry guiding experience.Relevant guiding qualifications: WFR and Ops Level 1 preferred.Strong leadership, communication, and operational skills.Valid International or Japanese Driver’s License required.Passion for backcountry travel and inspiring others.The PerksSubsidized staff accommodation.Free snowsports/bike demos & staff discounts.Wellness program & epic staff events.Live and work in one of the world’s top mountain resorts.Ready to join?If you have the skills, the flair, and the stoke (enthusiasm) to share, we want to hear from you!
