Backend Developer

About the role:The Backend Developer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance backend systems. This role requires strong proficiency in programming languages such as Node.js and Java, along with solid expertise in database management and cloud-based technologies.The ideal candidate demonstrates proven experience in API development, works effectively in collaborative team environments, and consistently delivers high-quality, maintainable code within established timelines.Key duties: Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs using technologies such as PHP, Java, Node.js, and related frameworks.Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while also demonstrating the ability to work independently in alignment with established development processes.Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet project requirements and technical standards.Perform other duties and technical tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.Minimum of 5 years of hands-on software development experience.Strong proficiency in PHP (Laravel), Java, Node.js, and frameworks such as J2EE and Spring Boot.Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices.Experience in developing reusable and maintainable Java libraries.Good knowledge of MVC architecture, JDBC, and RESTful API design.Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
