Backend team leader

An AI-focused startup developing technology that predicts flight prices for OTAs (online travel agencies), helping them determine the optimal time to book flights at the lowest price. The company offers a SaaS platform for flight price prediction and booking for travel agencies worldwide.Located in Tel Aviv near the train, the company operates a flexible hybrid model (3 days remote), with 75 employees, 35 of whom are in development. Profitable post-Series B, the company works with 15 of the 25 largest travel agencies globally and is growing in both customers and team size.Role Overview:Report to the VP of R&D.Manage a newly established team of 3–5 engineers, with potential for expansion.Hands-on backend development in Python for a complex AI-based SaaS system.Work with technologies including Kubernetes, AWS, Spark, Datalog, Grafana, PostgreSQL, SageMaker, Glue, and Athena.End-to-end responsibility, from system architecture to deployment.Operate in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.Requirements-3 years of experience as a Team Lead.Strong development experience in Java, Scala, Kotlin, or Clojure.Experience with Cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar).Technological degree or graduate of elite tech units.Experience working in leading high-tech companies (preferably startups).
