You’ll work across squads, mentor developers, and take an active role in shaping scalable infrastructure and intelligent data-driven services.You will work with technologies such as Kotlin, Python, Kafka, Kinesis, and Kubernetes, while collaborating closely with product, DevOps, and machine learning teams. You’ll help guide the evolution of backend systems through infrastructure leadership, architectural decision-making, and strategic adoption of productivity tools like Copilot and Cursor.We’re looking for someone who leads by example, thrives in cross-functional environments, and is passionate about scalable, intelligent systems.Key ResponsibilitiesTake a proactive role in a business-driven Squad and own your domainDesign, implement, test, deploy, and monitor backend infrastructure and business featuresMaintain high-quality standards and write readable, testable, modular, and maintainable codeBuild tools and processes to improve and accelerate our development lifecycle and take our road safety solutions to the next levelCollaborate while sharing your knowledge with other team members throughout the R&DGuide and mentor engineers across teams, fostering collaboration and elevating technical standardsTake ownership of backend infrastructure initiatives, from design to implementation, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and system performanceContribute to the adoption and integration of Generative AI tools and practices to enhance developer productivity and code qualityShape core infrastructure decisions and lead backend architecture at scaleAct as a multiplier for engineering excellence through strong cross-functional collaborationRequirements7+ years of backend development experience in JVM-based environments (Java/Kotlin – Kotlin preferred)Experience with distributed, microservice-based architecturesDeep understanding of both RDBMS and NoSQL databasesExperience working with high-scale data and traffic, including tools such as Redis, MongoDB, Kafka, KinesisSolid knowledge of cloud services, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and KubernetesPreferred QualificationsContribute to the adoption and integration of Generative AI tools and practices that improve engineering workflowsFamiliarity with Generative AI tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologiesJob Location:Tel-Aviv, Israel
