DescriptionConducts surveys and field investigations to determine existing condition of facilities and layout information, obtain equipment data, dimensions and participates in projects to improve, upgrade or renew regional and base utility infrastructureAssist the Electrical engineers in analysis (including size, capacity and economy) of Electrical systems of major size and complexity for use in Airport facilities and prepares and develops preliminary plansAssists the Electrical engineers on contract related services such as writing scopes of work, estimating, contractor selection, performance monitoring, assist in product or design review and evaluation of bids, inspection and acceptance.
Assists the Electrical engineers to perform design reviews of construction drawings and specifications for Electrical systems, utilities, controls, fire protection and other Electrical systems. from third party engineer contracts. Monitors construction by on-site inspections and provides technical liaison to ensure that the Electrical aspects of the project are constructed in accordance with contract drawings and specifications and assist the engineer to resolve problems or latent conditions that may arise during the construction. Coordinates requested design or construction changes which occur after the contract is awarded.
Ensures that changes in costs, quantity scope, schedules, design, or any other terms and conditions of the contract are coordinated or approved, as appropriate. Assist and coordinate with Health, Environmental & Safety for Electrical related projects. Qualifications, Experience & SkillsMinimum Qualification: Diploma in Electrical EngineeringMinimum Experience: Minimum of 5 - 10 years of relevant work experience. Job Specific Skills: Language Skills: English and preferential Arabic. Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
