Bailey Electronics is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 3 who applies advanced knowledge with independence to solve complex technical problems and develop processes and tools used to manufacture products for the mobile equipment industry. The Manufacturing Engineer 3 is able to develop and optimize business level process to deliver business results. ResponsibilitiesA Manufacturing Engineer 3 is responsible for but not limited to the following:
Solves technical problems and improves efficiency in operations through lean manufacturing principlesProduces innovative design ideas and solutions to improve safety, quality, on-time delivery, and efficiencyEstablishes and manages preventative maintenance processes for all Operations areasLeads process, equipment, and infrastructure capability studiesManages time and delivery of concurrent projects within scope and budgetDevelops plans and schedules, manages priorities, sets expectations, and achieves results for a team of engineers and techniciansConsistently produces accurate documentation, descriptions, BOMs, and design filesReviews documentation and technical delivery from other developersInitiates or leads special projects for the businessCreates and adheres to companywide and department-specific technical and safety guidelinesConsistently applies and models a continuous improvement mindset and ability to present ideas with business impactProvides DFM/DFT feedback for engineering designsResponsible for overall value stream map for production linesProvides mentorship and technical support for junior team members and co-op studentsPosition RequirementsBachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems EngineeringAt least 8 years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineer roleExperience in leading projects with a cross-functional teamAdvanced experience with Microsoft Office, such as creating technical documentation or data analysesAdvanced and practical knowledge of lean manufacturing including value stream mappingStrong working knowledge of how manufacturing operations worksExperience developing system-level processes within operationsStrong working knowledge of CAD design, 3-D modelling, and tooling for plastic and metal partsStrong working knowledge of automated test systems and fixturesExperience with design of tolerance for high-volume manufacturingAbout UsAt Bailey Electronics, we hire based on culture first and candidates that aligns with our corporate values - Passion, Team, Creativity, Delivery.
