Bakery Operations Manager

Our client in Harare is looking for a Bakery Operations Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the FMCG Production industry. An established FMCG company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead its confectionary production operations. The role focuses on managing high-volume production of baked goods, ensuring consistent quality, and driving operational excellence across a diverse product range that includes breads, rolls, pies, cakes, and other confectionary items. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end production, ensuring efficiency, quality assurance, and compliance with food safety standards.Responsibilities:Managing daily confectionary and bakery production operations to ensure efficiency, freshness, and consistency.Implementing and maintaining robust quality control and assurance processes.Leading production teams to meet performance targets while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.Coordinating with supply chain and distribution teams to ensure timely product delivery to outlets.Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.Preparing and analyzing operational reports to support strategic decision-making. Requirements: A degree in Food Science, Production Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.Proven experience in FMCG production management, preferably within bakery, confectionary, or food processing.Strong background in quality control and food safety management systems.Demonstrated leadership ability in managing production teams and meeting output targets.Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
