We have an opportunity for an experienced Product Manager - Cards & Personal Lending to join our team. Mō te Tūranga | About the RoleWe sat down with our current Senior Product Manager, and they let us know the below about the role: What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?Manage the end-to-end lifecycle for personal unsecured lending products, including front-line support, pricing, product development, risk and governance, and stakeholder management.
Identify opportunities and partner with stakeholders to simplify products and enhance the customer experience for our customers and colleaguesLead the execution of product enhancements to drive growth and simplification. Complete relevant governance and gain support from senior stakeholdersContinually monitor and ensure both existing and new products adhere to regulatory obligations and internal governanceSupport our frontline and operational teams as required. What projects will you be working on now and into the next year?Your focus will be predominately on personal credit cards and personal loans.
Key projects may include supporting the transformation of our originations process, existing and new product development, and working with our marketing stakeholders to drive growth. You’ll also understand the regulatory environment to ensure product compliance and internal governance is being met. What is the Team culture and environment like? This can be both rewarding in terms of building relationships and the variety of work, however, can be challenging at times due to different priorities and ways of working. What attributes will this person display to be successful in this role?4+ years experience in Product Management, relevant project delivery, or technology delivery environments. Strong financial acumen and experience managing a P&L. Ideally, 3-5 years in banking or financial services (Or equivalent). Experience with cards and personal lending products. Proven experience and ability to lead and deliver strategy and business outcomes in a large and complex organisation.
Understanding of customers’ needs in the New Zealand market. Advanced skills in analysis, business case development and report writing. Experience in execution and delivery. Strong stakeholder management skills to guide individuals to fast and effective outcomes. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
