We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Relationship Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of corporate clients within the Domestic, International and Financial Institutions client segment of the Bank. Role OverviewIn this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, offering strategic financial solutions and driving business development which requires in-depth knowledge of banking products, services, and financial markets, as well as the ability to effectively assess client needs and deliver innovative financial solutions to support the growth and financial success of clients.
Focus AreasClient and Relationship ManagementEstablish and sustain strong partnerships with international entities, management companies, sovereign bodies, domestic organizations, Financial Institutions including correspondent banks, and non-bank financial institutions, as applicable to the business segment served. Enable smooth execution of cross-border and domestic banking transactions by leveraging robust client relationships. Acquire new customer relationships while cultivating and enhancing existing ones. Emphasize a client-focused approach to build successful and mutually beneficial business relationships. Develop and support the Bank’s growth in local and international markets through introducers/correspondence banking networks.
Financial Solutions and Credit ManagementDesign customized financial solutions based on client needs, including FX lines/transactions, trade finance, and credit lines. Assess and filter client requests to ensure they align with the bank’s risk tolerance. Review credit information, negotiate terms, and present proposals to sanctioning authorities for approval. Collaborate with Credit Risk, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure comprehensive evaluation and approval of facilities. Monitor client performance through account reviews, site visits, and analysis of financial statements. Compliance and Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with the Bank’s Operational Risk Policy, Anti-Money Laundering Prevention Policy, and other applicable policies.
Work closely with Money Laundering Prevention Officers and Compliance Teams to maintain both internal and external controls. Monitor credit quality to reduce non-performing advances and ensure alignment with approved facilities. Uphold KYC policies, control systems, and operating procedures to minimize risk. Revenue and Business GrowthAchieve targeted growth in liabilities, assets, net income, non-interest income, and customer acquisitions. Cross-sell banking products to capitalize on business opportunities within existing relationships. Encourage cost control within the team to enhance profitability. Service Excellence and Team CollaborationEnsure prompt and efficient service delivery to both internal and external customers.
Foster positive relationships with internal teams to encourage a collaborative work environment. Act as a team player, contributing to the achievement of departmental goals and objectives. Supervise and motivate junior staff to maintain high productivity levels and service standardsEssential Educational and/or Training Qualifications & CertificatesBachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (master’s preferred). Experience and Knowledge 5+ years of experience in banking, relationship management, or international finance or investment banking. Awareness of banking products and services including trending digital offerings.
Proven track record in driving and growing portfolio of assets and liabilities on the domestic and global business market. Deep knowledge of industry trends and macro-environments which clients operate. Strong knowledge of domestic/offshore banking. Broad knowledge of laws, guidelines and regulations impacting clients’ business and the financial services industry. Technical & Functional SkillsStrong analytical and financial structuring capabilities. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. Comprehensive knowledge of banking regulations, AML policies, and international trade finance. Proficiency in cross-selling banking products and services. Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
