Job Description
The Intern Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The Intern Analyst also serves as an intermediary in trading for clients. The overall objective of this role is to act as strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.Responsibilities:Participate in client mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financial restructurings, underwriting, and distributing equity, debt, and derivative securitiesCollect and analyze company information to assist with various activities, including conducting industry research, and the revision and organization of financial dataAnalyze data and develop financial models, including company valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, financing, and comparative analysesCreate and finalize new business development presentationsCoordinate tasks with internal and external working teamsPrepare required internal documentation, including control and compliance regulationsParticipate in Citi's mentorship program, which provides further training and guidanceAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Qualifications:0-2 years of relevant experienceKnowledge of the global or domestic business landscape is a plus, but not requiredProficiency in Microsoft officeConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skillsDesire to develop knowledge of the financial industryProven commitment to integrity and ethical decision-makingDemonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environmentEducation:Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienceThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
