Key ResponsibilitiesMacroeconomic Research and Data Analyst:
Conduct research on economic trends and data relevant to the bank's operations, including macroeconomic indicators in different countries. Analyze and interpret economic data to provide insights into market developments, regional and global economic conditions, and potential risks or opportunities for the bank. Assist in the preparation of regular economic reports, forecasts, and briefings for senior management, helping them understand how macroeconomic factors impact business strategies. Economic Modeling and Forecasting: Support the development of economic models and forecasting tools to predict key economic variables that influence the bank s financial outlook and decision making.
Update and maintain economic databases to track the latest economic developments and assist with forecasting exercises. Report Writing and Presentation: Write clear, concise, and well structured research reports that summarize economic findings, trends, and their implications for the bank s strategy and risk management. Prepare presentations for internal stakeholders, summarizing complex economic data in a digestible format for non specialist audiences. Contribute to the preparation of quarterly or annual economic outlook reports and other publications. Cross Departmental Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments, such as risk management, treasury, and investment teams, to provide economic insights that inform their decision making processes. Collaborate with the Chief Economist and other research analysts to support macroeconomic analysis in areas like interest rate policy, fiscal policy, and global economic trends. Monitoring and Reporting on Global Economic Trends: Monitor news, publications, and global economic developments that may have an impact on the bank's operations, assets, and liabilities. Provide regular updates on changes in key economic variables (e. g.
, central bank policy decisions, commodity prices, trade relationships) and their potential impact on the bank s financial performance. RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's or Master s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field from a recognized universityAdditional certifications (e. g. , CFA, FRM) are a plus, but not required. Experience: 1-4 years of experience in economic research, financial analysis, or a related field. Internship or academic experience in a commercial or financial institution is a plus. Experience with data analysis and economic forecasting methods is advantageous. Skills: Strong understanding of macroeconomic principles and key economic indicators.
