Job Title: Assistant Operations ManagerLocation: Grand CaymanCompany: Financial Services CompanyOur client, a leading insurance and pension administration provider is looking for a dedicated and proactive Assistant Operations Manager to join their Pension Administration team. About the RoleAs Assistant Operations Manager – Pensions, you will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and manage a team of approximately 10 junior pension administrators. You’ll be responsible for maintaining smooth, compliant operations across multiple pension plans, fostering a positive team culture, and ensuring excellent service delivery for plan members and employers.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves, dive into the detail, and support their team through complex and fast-moving tasks. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily administration of Cayman-registered pension plans, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 10 junior administrators — from training to performance evaluations. Be the senior point of contact for complex queries, non-standard cases, and client escalations. Track key metrics like processing times, accuracy, and client satisfaction using Excel and data tools. Coordinate preparation and submission of reports to regulators and stakeholders.

Encourage collaboration, cross-training, and continuous improvement within the team. Participate in employer/member education sessions and support client engagement efforts. Identify opportunities to improve processes and communicate findings to the COO. Support the external audit process and assist with general administrative tasks as needed. Ideal Candidate ProfileBachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Finance, Business, or similar preferred). At least 4 years’ experience managing a team, ideally in financial services or professional services. Strong people leadership skills — able to motivate, guide, and develop junior staff. Comfortable working in a structured, regulated environment (prior pension experience a plus, but not essential).

Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented. Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills — able to handle pressure, deadlines, and client queries.
