Job Title: Pension AccountantLocation: George Town, Grand CaymanCompany: Financial Services CompanyAbout the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an Audit trained candidate to make their first move into Industry!Based in their Grand Cayman office and reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Pension Accountant will be an integral part of the business which services multiple Cayman-registered pension plans. You will oversee cash reconciliation, manage redemption applications, and ensure compliance with Cayman’s pension regulations. This role is perfect for someone technically strong and confident in client interaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage cash reconciliations and monitor subscriptions/redemptions for multiple pension plans. Review and audit redemption applications for compliance with Cayman Pension Laws. Serve as a technical and interpersonal bridge between the business and the Redemptions Team. Act as a point of escalation for client inquiries and explain complex processes clearly and calmly. Review outsourced NAVs and provide input as needed. Support internal and external audits for both the company and its clients. Prepare and review bank payments and perform daily reconciliations. Represent the business in presentations and meetings with client employees.
What We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree and a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACA). Minimum 3 years' experience, ideally within a Top 6 Accounting Firm. Strong knowledge of IFRS, especially related to insurance or fund administration (preferable but not essential).
