Job SummaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our team at AX The Verdala. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and providing excellent customer service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and health-conscious options, while ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere for our guests. You will assist with inventory control and maintain cleanliness and organisation at the bar. A focus on quality, attention to detail, and a commitment to guest satisfaction are essential for success in this role.ResponsibilitiesPrepare a wide range of beverages including fresh juices, wellness shots, herbal infusions, functional drinks, house-made syrups, alcohol-free cocktails, and traditional cocktails as required to fulfil guest orders.Provide warm, attentive, and efficient service when taking guest orders, serving drinks, and offering product knowledge.Recommend suitable wellness drinks, mocktails, teas, smoothies, and light cocktails to guests based on their preferences, dietary needs, or desired wellness benefits.Maintain the bar and beverage preparation areas in impeccable condition, ensuring full adherence to hotel sanitation standards and all local food and beverage regulations.Ensure the bar is consistently stocked with all necessary ingredients, including herbal blends, fresh produce, wellness supplements, and alcoholic beverages where applicable.Complete inventory forms and request replenishment in a timely manner.Prepare and organize all beverage garnishes—both classic and wellness-focused—ensuring the garnish station remains replenished throughout the shift.Handle all monetary transactions, billing, and cash float procedures in line with hotel policy and accuracy standards.Support the Restaurant Manager and team by assisting with any additional duties or operational needs required to enhance the guest experience.RequirementsStrong knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and health-oriented beverage options, along with mixology techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with guests.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders.Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to alcohol service.Experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel environment and/or a high quality outlet.A minimum of 2 years' experience in the same position is required.Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an asset.
