Senior Procurement Manager

About this role: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and project requirements. Lead procurement planning activities in coordination with project managers and other stakeholders to identify procurement needs in advance. Manage the procurement lifecycle including sourcing, tendering, bid evaluation, contract negotiation, award, and administration. Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, cost, reliability, and service; establish preferred supplier arrangements. Establish, maintain, and optimize supplier relationships to ensure best value, service levels, and supply reliability. Monitor vendor performance and develop performance improvement plans where necessary. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, legal requirements, and ethical standards.

Lead the development and implementation of procurement policies, standard operating procedures, and guidelines. Analyze procurement data and produce reports for management review; track cost savings and value creation initiatives. Collaborate with Finance and Project Controls teams for effective budget management and cost control. Ensure materials and services are delivered in accordance with contractual timelines and specifications. Resolve procurement-related issues and disputes in a timely and effective manner. Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems. Mentor and guide junior procurement staff and support their professional development.

Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field (advantageous). Minimum 8-10 years of experience in procurement within the construction and landscaping industry, with a strong understanding of materials, subcontracting, and logistics specific to this sector. Minimum 5 years in a senior procurement or procurement management role, with proven leadership and strategic planning abilities in the UAEOutstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management capabilities. Proficient in procurement software and ERP systems (e. g. , Oracle, SAP). Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
