Senior Procurement Officer - Immediate Joiner

About this role: Develop and implement strategic sourcing and procurement strategies specific to construction and landscaping projects. Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle, from requisition to delivery, including RFQs, tender evaluations, negotiation, contract award, and purchase order issuance. Identify and qualify vendors and subcontractors, conduct supplier audits, and establish strong supplier relationships. Ensure timely delivery of materials and services in alignment with project schedules and budget. Utilize SAP ERP for PR/PO creation, vendor master data management, GRN, and invoice processing. Monitor procurement workflows through SAP to ensure efficiency and transparency.

Evaluate supplier performance against KPIs such as quality, delivery, and cost-efficiency. Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Finance to meet procurement requirements. Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure best value sourcing. Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. Review and update procurement documentation, reports, and records in the ERP system (e. g. , SAP, Oracle, etc. ). Support and mentor junior procurement team members. Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for inventory planning and materials tracking. Assist in contract preparation and management, including legal and commercial terms.

Professional certification preferred (e. g. , CIPS, PMP, CSCP, or equivalent).

Minimum 6 - 10 years of experience in procurement, preferably within construction and landscaping sectors. At least 5 years in a senior procurement or purchasing officer role in the UAE. Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems: Preferably SAP and or Oracle FusionAbility to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. Knowledge of construction and landscaping materials, equipment, and market vendors. Strong commercial awareness and cost-control mindset.
