Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a thoughtful, detail-oriented Product Designer to join our growing team.

You’ll play a critical role in shaping the user experience and interface of Basestation’s waste management software. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and enjoys working across the full design stack – from research and wireframes to high-fidelity UI and design systems. As one of the early design hires, you’ll work closely with product, engineering, and leadership to bring clarity to complex problems, advocate for the user, and design intuitive, delightful experiences that drive business impact.

Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-to-end design process for core product features – from discovery and ideation to execution and iterationTranslate product requirements and user insights into wireframes, mockups, and prototypesDesign intuitive interfaces and workflows that align with our product goals and brandCollaborate closely with engineers to ensure designs are implemented with high quality and attention to detailConduct user research and usability testing to validate ideas and uncover insightsHelp shape and maintain our design system to ensure consistency and scalabilityContribute to the overall product strategy with a user-centered point of viewAbout YouYou are someone who is: A resourceful problem solver + intellectually curious:

2+ years of experience designing digital products, preferably in a startup or SaaS environmentStrong portfolio showcasing UX and UI work, with examples of design thinking and problem solvingProficiency in Figma and other modern design toolsComfortable working with product managers and engineers in a software development processExperience conducting or working with user research, usability testing, and data to inform design decisionsExcellent communication and collaboration skills
