Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: The National Sales Director is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve national growth targets and expand the company’s customer base. This leadership role oversees regional sales teams, establishes sales goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies new business opportunities, and ensures customer satisfaction across all national accounts. EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred. 10+ years of progressive sales experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role with a national scope. Proven success in leading high-performing sales teams and driving revenue growth. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Experience with CRM systems and data-driven decision-making. Willingness to travel nationally up to 50% of the time. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of regional sales managers and representatives. Establish and track sales KPIs, targets, and forecasts; provide regular performance updates to executive leadership. Identify new market opportunities and lead the development of strategies to capture them.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, channel partners, and stakeholders. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to optimize the customer journey. Oversee the negotiation and closing of major deals and contracts. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform sales tactics. Prepare and manage the national sales budget; optimize resource allocation and ROI. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
