Battery System Engineer (BMS Specialist)

The individual should have ideally several years of experience or at least an internship in the related field and share the passion to engineer the best electric motorcycle on a global platform. Importantly, you shouldn't be afraid to take initiative and push your boundaries. We are constantly looking to innovate and adopt new technologies, so you should be able to embrace constant learning.Responsibilities· Work as part of a small team to research, engineer, and build battery pack systems and their sub-systems for newer models.· Managing the system and component-level design requirements through collaboration with Powertrain Department, Electrical Department, and Mechanical Department, all the while being end customer-oriented.· Technical Drawing, Technical Documentation, and Production Manuals.· BMS (Battery Management System) Design, Development, and Testing.· BMS (Battery Management System) Firmware Testing and optimization.· Battery Cycle Tester operations and perform test with data analytics skill and automation for battery aging analysis.· Adhere to the Certification level of ISO-26262 Standards for Automotive Functional Safety.· Hands-On work with High Voltage DC Systems (Li-Ion Batteries) and comfortable to work on the field with High Voltage Wiring Harness, Electronics and Battery Pack Development from the Ground-Up.· Sound Knowledge of programming languages like C, C++, and Python.· Work with Version Control Systems like GitHub and GitLab.· Microcontroller (STM32 preferred) based hardware design and development.· PCB Schematic and Layout Design and Fabrication.· Provide support to assembly and testing teams during product operations.· Provide support to ongoing product and process improvement.Qualifications· Good Knowledge of Lithium-based battery cells.· Advance Knowledge of CAD Software (Inventor preferred).· Takes ownership and drives the department to implement industry-standard battery pack system and sub-system design, development, testing, and validation.· Sounds knowledge of High Voltage DC System.· Strong knowledge of Thermal Analysis and cooling system design and management.· Microcontroller Architecture knowledge (Preferably STM32 Based Experience).· Familiar with Oscilloscope, Function Generator, and other testing equipment.· Bachelors or higher degree in the relevant field of study.· Ideally 2+ years of professional working experience or at least an internship in the relevant field.· Fluency in written and spoken English.· Good communication/presentation skills, strong team player· A positive mindset and can-do attitude.You have a passion for Battery Systems Engineering.
