We are now hiring a Legal Counsel to join in Bayer Nordics’ Law, Patents & Compliance team in Finland. Working place can be either, preferably both, Espoo and Turku offices. This role is a parental leave substitution expected to last at least until December 2026. Purpose of the position is to enable the business to succeed in the region while protecting the company from legal risks.

Your Tasks And ResponsibilitiesProvide legal advice to business functions in the Nordic region (Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia) to minimize legal risksTake part in the strategic decision making of the businesses with focus on the Consumer Health and Pharma divisions, aligned with Bayer’s guidelines and policies as well as the country regulations and legislations in the regionInteract frequently with business and functional managers within the assigned area of responsibilityCollaborate with outside counsels and other stakeholdersEvaluate and balance legal risks with business needs and processes - also actively and constructively manage conflicts between these aspectsManage IP related matters in the Nordic regionCreate different legal documentsEnsure the local legal entity’s compliance with the data privacy regulation and local requirements are aligned with global policiesWho You AreLaw Degree (LLM) is demandedRelevant experience in at least one legal area of relevance, e.

in Intellectual Property Law/Contract Law/Competition Law/Data Privacy Law/Marketing LawKnowledge of issues in the Nordic business/activity area and industryAt least 5 years of professional experience in legal profession at the private sector or in a law firmProject management skills, including of local projects, understanding of IT tools and their application to facilitate legal counselingCustomer interaction and advanced communication skills including presentation skillsEfficient time management, prioritization and organizational skillsStrong analytical skills including ability to identify and address root causes of issuesFluent Finnish and English as a legal language / written and oral, knowledge of other Scandinavian languages is preferredAdditional preferred experience/knowledge:
