Experience working with sales, go-to-market, or marketing data is highly desirable. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Data Foundation: Assist in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and architectures (leveraging HANA, Snowflake, and external data sources) to enable reliable, timely, and well-structured data for analytics, dashboards, and modeling. Insight Acceleration: Partner with analytics managers, data analysts, and data scientists to deliver insights that directly inform executive sales, planning, and go-to-market strategies. Business Partnership:
Collaborate with business and strategy stakeholders to understand evolving requirements and help translate them into technical data solutions that support growth initiatives—such as segmentation, customer insights, and new go-to-market approaches. Efficiency and Automation: Identify opportunities to automate manual or repetitive data processes, scaling analytics capabilities and freeing up analysts for more strategic work. Data Quality and Reliability: Support the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of data pipelines and models, contributing to business-critical Tableau dashboards, Excel workbooks, and data science models. Innovation and Best Practices: Contribute to prototyping new data solutions, experiment with emerging tools and techniques (e. g.
, AI, Python, cloud data migration), and adopt data engineering best practices. Generative AI Integration: Work with data scientists and AI teams to explore, prototype, and support the integration of generative AI solutions (such as large language models, text summarization, or automated insight generation) into analytics workflows. Cross-Functional Enablement: Build relationships across Cisco’s data stewards, architects, and business teams to discover new data sources and support data integration and company-wide data initiatives. Collaboration and Learning: Share knowledge, collaborate with peers, and help foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement across the analytics engineering function.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field1-3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or similar roleHands-on experience designing or supporting scalable data architectures for sales, marketing, or business analyticsProficiency in SQL and experience with relational database technologies (SAP HANA, Snowflake, etc. )Experience with Python (or similar) for data manipulation, transformation, and automationExposure to generative AI models and tools (e. g.
, OpenAI, Azure AI, Google Vertex AI) for data enrichment, insight generation, or workflow automationExperience collaborating with AI or data science teams to implement generative AI or advanced analytics solutionsExperience integrating and managing large or complex datasets from internal and external sourcesAbility to work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable data solutionsInterest in improving efficiency through automation and process innovationFamiliarity with data visualization and reporting tools (Tableau, Excel), and data pipeline tools (Tableau Prep, Alteryx, etc.
