Bangladesh Footwear Industries ltd is looking for Deputy Manager/Manager (Maintenance)Job Description / ResponsibilityDevelop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all production and utility equipment. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and ensure swift restoration of operations. Maintain up-to-date records of machine maintenance history and spare parts inventory. Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and electricians. Train team members on equipment handling, maintenance best practices, and safety procedures. Coordinate with production and planning departments to schedule maintenance activities during off-peak hours to minimize production loss. Plan shutdown maintenance and overhauls efficiently.
Monitor maintenance budgets and control costs without compromising machine reliability. Ensure the availability of critical spare parts by managing inventory effectively. Evaluate and negotiate with vendors and service providers. Maintain the plant`s utilities (power supply, HVAC, lighting, water lines). Participate in machinery installation, layout changes, and factory expansion or modification projects. Support procurement in evaluating machinery specifications during new purchases.
