The incumbent also maintains the district surplus intranet site for relocation of assets throughout the district. Reports to : Maintenance Services Supervisor and Custodial Field Supervisor Nature & Scope :

The Shipping Clerk II works independently following standardized routines under general supervision. The work is primarily of a routine and recurring manner. The nature of the work requires adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations. The incumbent primarily interfaces with school and district administrative staff. The incumbent does not have supervisory responsibilities. Essential Job Functions: Conducts oneself in the best interest of students, in accordance with the highest traditions of public education and in support of the District’s mission. Assures the accurate processing of requests for records and surplus goods. Schedules work order requests for portable assets (ie.

tables, art boards, specialized equipment). Records information. Prepares shipping labels and loads materials to be shipped. Maintains an accurate inventory of all supplies and equipment housed in the District warehouse. Assures the accurate processing of incoming materials. Receives items shipped from schools. Inspects materials for damaged or missing parts and stores items in proper location. Determines which items are to be discarded; and records in the District's computerized inventory system. Maintains inventory control using computerized system; determines availability of portable assets; follows up on work orders, and assists with the annual inventory of materials.

Follows up on work orders/tickets. Receives, sorts and distributes incoming District mail. Operates postage meter for the processing of outgoing metered mail. Operates forklift and manual and electric operated pallet jacks. Maintains the warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. Provides assistance to TSC Service Technician in the form of oil change oversite. Orders office supplies, materials, and other equipment as needed. Assists Purchasing Agent with purchases as needed. Physically receives deliveries on a daily basis Oversees Annual DEQ testing system. . Acts as main point of contact for waste and recycling companies.

Provides back up for front desk when needed. Oversees maintenance critical supplies including but not limited to first aid kits, inclement weather gear, etc. Provides back up for receiving maintenance invoices. Tracks portable units including but not limited to portable air conditioners, heaters, fans,etc. , and coordinates with maintenance staff. . Provides data entry on an as needed basis. Monitors security cameras in maintenance yard. Maintains effective working relationships with other members of the department as well as other school personnel and community members, including those from diverse cultures or backgrounds or those who speak limited or no English.

Complies with all procedures outlined in the Code of Professional Conduct and Annual Notices for Education Practitioners, Teachers, Support Staff, Administrators, Substitutes Handbook; and all other Beaverton School District Policies and Procedures. Required Qualifications:

Must possess high school diploma, or G. E. D. Must be able to pass a physical exam. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Must possess a valid Oregon or Washington driver's license. Must be able to read, understand and follow multi-step written and verbal instructions in English. Must be able to perform basic math calculations. Must possess strong computer skills with knowledge of spreadsheet management and must be able to research products and service techniques on-line.

Must understand basic health standards to comply with District and State regulations and must demonstrate an understanding of safety practices and procedures. Must demonstrate the ability to follow a set routine at a pace that meets District standards, and must demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and schedules. Must demonstrate flexibility to changing working environments. Must be able to work with accuracy with attention to detail. Must be able to maintain the physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, prolonged standing, crawling, climbing, and working in various types of weather.

Must possess uncorrected or corrected visual acuity of 20/40 in both eyes. Must obtain a forklift license within 3 months of hire. Working Conditions: The Shipping Clerk works primarily indoors within a warehouse. The work requires regular physical effort and the frequent lifting of moderate to heavy objects. The incumbent will routinely lift up to 55lbs by themself and lift more than 55lbs with assistance. The work environment has climate control and may at times include undesirable temperatures.

The work environment is often controlled and often quiet but will also frequently include moderate to loud noise and includes exposure to fumes, cleaning solvents, and vibrations as well as the risk of falling from significant heights. The incumbent will frequently stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, sit, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel and reach in the normal course of their workday. At times, the incumbent will spend prolonged periods of time standing, walking, sitting, pushing, bending, stooping and kneeling. Potential exposures and hazards include but are not limited to:
