Together, we can forge pathways to a healthier future for all.Duties And ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision of Clinical Manager and Clinical Director, provide direct service to adult men in substance use treatment residential program.AssessmentDay-to-day observation of clientsOngoing assessment of the treatment environment to maintain a safe and effective milieuSynthesize information from shift reports to ensure effective implementation of treatment plansFacilitate urine drug screens and breathalyzer screens to clientsCommunicationActs as a role model to demonstrate appropriate communication skills between other staff and clientsProvides mediation for clients in conflict situations and seeks professional assistance from supervisors when neededImmediately communicates issues of safety and/or client health changes to supervisorDelivery Of ServicesProvide basic nursing care and training for clients admitted to the programObserves self-administration of medication for clientsDocuments observations and care provided in the clients’ individual medical record and/or unit logs (bed checks, etc.) as indicatedConduct walkthroughs of the building to ensure client safetyAssist clients in keeping medical or psychiatric appointmentsTransport clients to off-site programming and/or appointments as indicated or orderedVerify documents pertaining to clients’ planned leaveRequired to work holidays, weekends, or evenings.Minimum Training & ExperienceHigh school diploma.Applicants will be required to provide a current three-year (3) Motor Vehicle ReportPrevious work experience working in a psychiatric/mental health setting.Pre-employment drug screening may be required.
