This vital role will focus on evaluating animal temperament, developing and implementing enrichment programs, and modifying behaviour for rehoming potential.Responsibilities IncludeObserve and document canine behaviour in various environmentsIdentify and address behavioural needs for rehomingAssist with intake and management plans for animal welfareImplement training and rehabilitation programsSupport shelter staff with animal managementContribute to rescue requests and positive outcomesUndertake general administrative duties and attend training sessionsPosition RequirementsCertificate II in Companion Animal Studies is desirableEnrolment or willingness to undertake Certificate IV in Behaviour TrainingCurrent Class C driver's licenceMinimum three months of experience in a similar environmentExpertise in canine body language and handling diverse breedsProficiency in fear-free and reward-based training techniquesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsNational Police Check and Medical Declaration requiredBring your passion for animal welfare and skills in behaviour training to RSPCA NSW, where we strive for the best outcomes for our animals and the community.Simply complete the application process by clicking the Apply Now button, and we'll be in touch.Apply Now!No recruitment agencies please
