Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the Finance, Accounting, and HR functions for North American operations. This executive will play a critical role in shaping the company's financial strategy, working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations to drive performance and profitability. Reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating closely with the Global CFO and the Board, this position is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all financial functions for North America, including accounting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, P&L oversight, and financial reporting.
Partner with commercial leaders (sales and marketing) to support growth initiatives and data-driven decision-making. Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting packages and dashboards to provide business insights and strategic recommendations to leadership and the board. Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of 10–15 professionals across finance, accounting, and HR. Lead and enhance the HR function, ensuring alignment with business goals and talent development. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and reporting requirements. Manage internal controls, risk management, and audit processes. Support M&A due diligence and integration efforts as the company explores growth opportunities.
Collaborate with the Global CFO and other international stakeholders on global finance initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred. 10–20 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, ideally within distribution or construction sectors. Prior experience as a Controller, Director of Finance, VP of Finance, or CFO in a middle-market organization. Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a collaborative environment. Strong background in both accounting operations and strategic financial planning. Experience supporting sales and marketing teams with data-driven insights and forecasting.
