Store Support Center We are searching for an experienced Benefits Representative for our Store Support Center located at 600 Citadel Drive, Commerce, CA, 90040.SummaryAdministers daily transactions for associate benefit plans, such as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement. This position works with associates for claim issues and retirement processes. This individual should be customer service and detail oriented. Will be responsible for completing assignments with a high degree of accuracy.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned or required. Responsible for employee enrollment, status changes, qualifying events and all other daily transactions for the Company’s benefits programs that include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement. Work with associates and insurance companies’ carriers for any medical, dental, vision, life, and disability claim issues. Analyze benefits audit report and eligibility file discrepancy reports to see what issues arise and fix associate’s benefit records accordingly. Open system tickets and work with system support to resolve system issues. Responsible for creating communication to associates for any types of enrollment and plan changes, or new plan implementation. Plan and prepare necessary materials to ensure associates are fully educated about the benefits plans. Create and process test cases, review test result to ensure system works correctly when there is any benefits plan/carrier changes or new system implementation. Create and maintain SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedure). Fully understand federal regulations and SOX requirements (e.g. ACA, Cobra, HIPAA) and maintain compliance concerning benefits administration. Work with Sr. Benefits Manager to provide necessary information to auditors. Update associate benefit enrollments or changes as needed. Maintains benefit records and documentation. Process court orders accordingly. Resolves associates’ benefit issues and answering benefit questions, both by phone as well as email, with a positive and courteous, customer service-oriented attitude. Responsible for retirement plans administration, which includes but is not limited to associate support, auditing records from external vendor, preparing pension calculations and works with external vendor to provide data in a timely manner for final calculation preparation when needed and coordinating timely funding of contributions. Act as a backup for preparing and processing COBRA and HIPAA compliance requirements upon benefit termination and coordinates changes with providers when needed. Works on special projects as assigned. EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or six to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiar with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA and H&W laws.COMPENSATION: The starting salary for this position is $68,640.00.
