Job Description

A leading specialty retailer is seeking a Benefits Specialist to support the administration and day-to-day operations of the company’s retirement and benefits programs. This position plays a key role in managing multiple retirement plans, including 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), and Deferred Compensation plans.Location: On-site in Charlotte, NCCompensation: $70,000-$75,000/yearResponsibilitiesAdminister and maintain the company’s 401(k) PlanOversee Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) administrationSupport Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) operationsManage Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation Plan administrationServe as the primary point of contact for employees regarding all company retirement plansAssist in other benefits areas as needed, such as Leave of Absence and Medical/Dental insuranceSupport the SVP with funding, vendor payments, and compliance-related activitiesParticipate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assignedQualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field4–5 years of experience in retirement or benefits administrationProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Access preferred)Advanced working knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., Lawson Payroll/HR or similar)Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsWorking knowledge of retirement and benefit plan administrationAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesExcellent organizational, analytical, and customer service skills
