POSITION OVERVIEW: The Jr. Accountant/Cash Administrator plays a key role in supporting financial operations by overseeing and executing a variety of cash management and loan administration functions. This position is responsible for coordinating loan draw requests, maintaining accurate debt records, managing banking relationships, and ensuring the integrity of cash transactions across multiple accounts. In addition, the position will serve as a liaison between the company and its lenders, investors, and financial partners, providing timely reporting and maintaining strong, professional relationships. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Coordinate, prepare, and monitor all loan draw requests for Berks Homes communities.
Manage financing activities for the On Your Land program, including completing required bank documentation, reviewing construction progress, requesting and tracking draws, and securing insurance certificates. Review, interpret, and maintain a working knowledge of loan documentation to ensure compliance with terms, conditions, and draw requirements. Maintain and update the company’s Debt Schedule, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting of all debt related activity. Monitor and report on owners' notes payable related to share purchases, ensuring timely and accurate tracking of balances, payments, and interest calculations. Maintain strong working relationships with investors, banking institutions, and financing partners.
Prepare and distribute statements to investors and preferred equity partner payments. Record general ledger activity related to loan draws, cash receipts, and month-end journal entries to ensure accurate financial close. Prepare monthly reconciliations for approximately 60 cash accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Investigate and resolve discrepancies and identify opportunities to streamline cash management processes. Support daily accounting operations by processing and recording cash receipts, disbursements, and banking transactions as needed. Assist department leadership and external auditors by compiling documentation for year-end processes and the annual audit. Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested.

 Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field of study requiredFive years’ experience in accounting industry preferredFull understanding of all accounting functions required Background in new home building preferredCompetence in the use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word requiredStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills requiredAbility to work independently requiredAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously requiredAptitude for detail-oriented work requiredKnowledge of cash management/bank reconciliationComfort working with and presenting to all levels of personnel requiredSage Intacct software experience preferredWORKING CONDITIONS: Professional office setting.
The expectation for work hours is to report to work at a consistently scheduled time and to be seldom absent from work. Accountability is extremely high in this position, as it deals directly with private company information, company capital, and financial reporting. The impact of a breach in the privacy of this information can be detrimental to the company, its employees, and its customers. Flexible work structure that allows for remote work and work from the home office. Work week is Monday through Friday, days, with occasional evening or weekend hours when required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
You will be primarily seated. At times, you may be required to bend, squat, kneel, stand, walk, reach, push, and pull. Occasionally, you may be required to lift up to 25 pounds. Frequently, you must be able to read and comprehend, write effectively and professionally, perform minor calculations, orally communicate with all levels within the organization, reason, and analyze data.
