Job Title: L2 Field EngineerDate: 28 August 2025Location: Reykjavik, IcelandResponsibilitiesProvide onsite/remote support for desktops, laptops, servers, and network devices. Troubleshoot and resolve issues escalated from Level 1 within SLAs. Install, configure, upgrade, and decommission IT hardware/software. Support networking (routers, switches, Wi-Fi, VPN). Handle HDD removals, replacements, and ensure secure data destruction. Coordinate with remote engineering teams/vendors for advanced issues. Maintain incident records, documentation, and certificates. Perform preventive maintenance and user support. Scope of WorkDecommission: 2× Cisco 4331, 2× Cisco 9200, 1× Cisco 1921, 2× HP ProLiant DL360 G10 servers. Join bridge calls with remote engineering team.
Decommission servers first, drill HDDs onsite, and complete destruction certificates. Proceed with network equipment decommission. Transport 2× Cisco 9200 + 2× HP ProLiant servers to CROWN SCANDINAVIA, Sundabakki 2, Reykjavik. Dispose of remaining devices & provide ITAD COD certificate. RequirementsDiploma/Bachelor’s in IT or related field. 3–5 years’ experience in IT/Field support. Skilled in Windows OS, O365, AD, IT hardware, LAN/WAN, VPN. Familiar with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy). Certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA) preferred. Valid criminal background check, company email, signed NDA, PPT code of conduct compliance. Equipped with tools for server/network decommission. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer service skills.
Willingness to travel & support ITAD disposal.
