Hybrid: Markham, OntarioJob DescriptionJob Overview:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Developer to join our growing BI team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality BI solutions that support cross-functional business needs with a focus on automation, scalability, and performance.This role plays a key part in enabling our self-serve reporting strategy and in modernizing our reporting infrastructure by transitioning from legacy tools to scalable, cloud-based platforms like Power BI and Snowflake, supported by robust ETL processes (e.g., Talend).Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain scalable dashboards and reports using Power BI.Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to deliver integrated data solutions.Work with Snowflake as the primary cloud data warehouse for data modeling and querying.Leverage ETL tools like Talend to build and support automated data pipelines.Migrate legacy reports from Tableau and Excel into optimized Power BI solutions.Ensure data accuracy, report performance, and a seamless user experience while adhering to BI governance standards.Troubleshoot and resolve reporting or data-related issues and contribute to process improvements.Required Qualifications3–5+ years of experience in BI development or a similar data role.Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.Solid SQL skills and experience with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms.Hands-on experience with ETL tools (such as Talend, SSIS, Informatica, or similar).Familiarity with project tracking tools like Azure DevOps (ADO) or JIRA.Strong understanding of data modelling concepts (e.g., star/snowflake schema).Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Tableau and legacy BI migrations.Knowledge of Azure Data Factory and additional ETL tools.Knowledge of data governance and BI platform optimization.Background in retail or operational reporting is a plus.
