Bid Manager (Civil & Rail Infrastructure)

GEDON Executive is seeking a strategic and experienced Bid Manager to join a leading contractor in Dublin, Ireland. This high-impact role focuses on securing large-scale Civil and Rail Infrastructure packages across Ireland. This is a critical leadership position for a proven work-winner with essential Rail experience, who can transition their expertise from a Project Management or Site-based background into the pre-construction team.As the Bid Manager, you will be instrumental in developing winning strategies for complex tenders, managing the full bid process from initial strategy through to final submission and negotiation.Key RequirementsExperience: Minimum 7+ years of relevant industry experience, ideally within the civils sector.Sector Expertise: Rail infrastructure experience is essential; you must have a demonstrable background in rail projects.Bid Management Focus: Specific experience focused on managing bid submissions is required.Qualifications: Relevant 3rd level qualification.Communication: Excellent command of both written and spoken English and strong communication skills for high-level documentation and client interaction.Software Proficiency: Experience in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and Tender Portals.ResponsibilitiesBid Strategy & Leadership: Lead and manage the end-to-end tender process, developing robust, competitive, and winning strategies for large civil and rail infrastructure projects.Technical Integration: Utilize your site/project management background to critically review bid technical content, ensuring methodologies, programming, and resource planning are accurate and cost-effective.Proposal Development: Oversee the preparation of all bid documentation, ensuring high-quality, technically compliant, and compelling submissions that clearly address client requirements.Commercial Alignment: Work closely with the Estimating and Commercial teams to ensure the proposed solution is accurately costed and commercially viable.Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate commercial and technical risks associated with the tendered rail and civil works.Post-Tender Management: Lead post-tender clarifications, presentations, and negotiations with clients and stakeholders.What Our Client OffersA competitive salary of €100,000 - €120,000, commensurate with your experience and the strategic importance of the role.The opportunity to lead bids on significant rail and civil infrastructure projects across Ireland.A senior, influential position that directly leverages your operational experience for strategic work-winning.A stable role within a large-scale contractor with a guaranteed pipeline of critical infrastructure work.The GEDON AdvantageGEDON Executive is a global search firm specializing in the preconstruction and project controls sector, with a strong network of leading infrastructure contractors in Dublin and across Ireland.
