About The RoleAs a Bid Manager at McNab, you’ll be the driving force behind the tender process. You’ll set the strategy, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure each submission is delivered on time, on budget, and on brand.You’ll manage a wide variety of tenders - EOI, ECI, negotiated, and competitive while keeping processes efficient and outcomes aligned with client expectations and business goals.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end bid management: Chair start-up, mid-review, and finalisation meetings, drive the win strategy, and ensure smooth handover to delivery teams.Plan and track bids: Develop detailed bid programs outlining milestones such as site visits, consultant selection, value-engineering workshops, pricing deadlines, and submission dates.Client liaison: Act as the primary point of contact, test client drivers, raise RFIs, communicate risks, and maintain momentum throughout the tender process.Documentation management: Oversee all drawings, specifications, approvals, specialist reports, and addenda, ensuring timely and accurate distribution to consultants and subcontractors.Cross-team coordination: Work closely with Estimating and Operations to align trade packages, take-offs, preliminaries, and value-management options, ensuring accuracy and mitigating risk.Design collaboration: Partner with Design Managers to challenge concepts, develop commercially viable solutions, manage BIM/3D requirements, and prepare clarification and exclusion schedules.Construction alignment: Collaborate with Project and Construction Managers on site establishment and build methodologies to improve efficiency.Commercial governance: Ensure adherence to the win strategy, identify and escalate deviations early, and support contract reviews and contingency planning.Post-tender review: Lead clarifications, debriefs, and lessons-learned sessions, applying client feedback to improve future bids.What You’ll BringProven experience managing complex construction bids ($20M–$150M+).Strong understanding of NCC, Australian Standards, and WHS legislation.Exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication skills - able to simplify technical information and influence stakeholders at all levels.Commercial acumen in contracts, risk, and value management.Collaborative leadership style that energises teams and drives accountability.About McNabMcNab is one of the largest Construction, Development and Property groups in Australia, with turnover now exceeding $1bn each year.
