Join us and help bring the charm of Japanese snacks to the world![ Your Responsibilities ]ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking an experienced Bilingual Buyer to manage product strategy and purchasing for our subscription service and e-commerce shop. Specific responsibilities include:Product & Purchasing Strategy:Plan and execute attractive, high-margin product lineups based on market trends, sales data, and consumer insightsOptimize sourcing, manage costs, and build strong supplier relationshipsData Analysis & Product Performance Evaluation:Analyze pricing trends, sales performance, and inventory levels to propose improvements for product lineups and sales initiativesConduct scenario analysis and benchmarking by product and categorySupply Chain & Inventory Management:Build and maintain trust-based relationships with domestic and international suppliersManage inventory levels and product expiration dates to minimize stockouts and reduce wasteCross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with Product, Logistics, E-commerce, and Marketing teams to drive promotions and maximize salesLead initiatives for new product launches and improvements to existing products to enhance overall brand value[ Your Qualifications ]Ability to multitask efficiently with strong time management and a sense of responsibilityConfident in collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to approach problem-solving logicallyExperience in international procurement, import/export operationsAbility to systematize, improve, and document work processesStrong collaboration skills across teams and with external partners to achieve resultsHigh motivation to learn and grow while working cooperatively with othersClear communication based on data and insightsStrong interest in food and culture, with an eye for new products and trends[Your Requirements]Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience2–3+ years of experience in international trade, purchasing, procurement, product planning, category management, or EC/grocery-related operationsPractical experience with Shopify, Slack, AirTable, ShipHero, Notion, Asana, or similar toolsNative-level Japanese and business-level English proficiencyProficiency in basic Excel/Google Sheets functions (INDEX-MATCH, VLOOKUP, etc.)Experience working onsite, preferably in a startup environmentAbility to adapt to a fast-changing environment and work proactivelyDeep passion for food and cultureThis is a full-time position and the applicant must currently be based in Tokyo[Your Benefits]Visa support availableSocial insurance coveragePaid vacationCommuting allowanceCompany events (retreats, dinners, happy hours, etc.)Monthly Bokksu subscription and unlimited access to Japanese snacks in the officeBokksu provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
