BIM Coordinator

Job Title : Site BIM Coordinator About UsAt Jones Engineering we have over 128 years’ experience as a world class engineering contractor. Our core divisions include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection. Some of the other services we provide include Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Specialist Lift, Off Site Fabrication, Technical Support Services, Maintenance, Asset Management, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate BIM activities on site, acting as the link between design and construction teams.Develop and manage discipline-specific 3D BIM models to meet project requirements.Ensure all models align with the BIM Execution Plan and project workflow criteria.Collaborate and coordinate internally and externally on design and model changes.Assist the site team with BIM-related tasks and provide technical support.Carry out 3D scanning of work areas to verify conditions and support accurate modelling.Prepare and update as-built drawings for handover documentation.Produce and manage discipline-specific BIM content, including Revit families and templates.Generate accurate construction drawings and extract data from BIM platforms.Conduct coordination and clash detection on MEP services (using Navisworks).Model supports for M&E services, including electrical containment models.Attend project and coordination meetings as required.RequirementsMinimum 2 years’ proven experience with Revit (MEP installations) and Navisworks.Experience with 3D laser scanning and point cloud integration an advantage.Strong knowledge of BIM processes, workflows, and standards.Ability to produce accurate as-built documentation.Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with site teams.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.Interested parties should apply here and/or mail colinodonnell@joneseng.comBenefitsWe offer a competitive salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
