Through initiatives such as organic farming development, we’re building a resilient Prajãva where people, planet, and purpose thrive together. The RoleWe’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Biodiversity Consultant to lead field-level biodiversity assessments and monitoring. This one-year consultancy will operate under an MoU agreement, with payments tied to deliverables across project phases.Key Responsibilities• Conduct biodiversity assessments and surveys across designated organic farms.• Collect and analyze field data using established scientific methods.• Work closely with other stakeholders and farmer groups to integrate biodiversity-friendly practices.• Prepare sub-reports, final reports, and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.Candidate Profile – Skills & Qualifications• Background in environmental science, ecology, agriculture, or related fields.• Prior experience in biodiversity research or field-based ecological projects.• Strong analytical and reporting skills.• Familiarity with scientific biodiversity indices (knowledge of Shannon-Wiener Index would be an added advantage).• Familiarity with beekeeping practices would be an added advantage.• Ability to work in rural field environments and engage with diverse communities.• Excellent communication skills in English (Sinhala/Tamil a plus).Why Work With Us?• Be part of a purpose-driven global brand championing sustainable agriculture.• Work on real-world impact projects supporting biodiversity and rural livelihoods.• Flexible and autonomous consultant role with clear deliverables and outcomes.Apply Now?Send your CV and a brief cover letter to careers@etsteas.co.uk or apply via LinkedIn.
