Job Title:Biomethane Analyst (Regulatory)Contract Type:Time Type:Job Description:Biomethane is a heavily policy driven market and as such we are looking for someone with strong renewable fuel policy knowledge with relevant market connections in both the private and governmental sphere.This role will primarily focus on biomethane but the successful candidate will also have a breadth of knowledge and experience across multiple fuels given the strong market and pricing connection within the renewables industry.The role will balance both internal policy analysis and external stakeholder networking in order for the trading desk stay ahead of market moves and analyse the potential impact on Supply & Demand and pricing.Main ResponsibilitiesMonitor and analyze renewable fuel policies, with a focus on biomethane, to identify market opportunities and risks.Translate policy developments into actionable insights for trading and commercial teams.Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, industry associations, and commercial registries.Collaborate with internal analysts and traders to align policy insights with market strategies.Develop and deliver high-impact presentations for internal and external audiences.Support data-driven decision-making through coding and data visualization tools.ProfilePost-grad degree in an energy focused and/or quantitative fieldAdditional certifications a plus (CFA levels, Risk management exams etc)Renewable accreditations such as ISCC would be an additional advantageMinimum of 3-5 years in the energy or commodity sector in an analytical and/or policy driven roleKnowledge of the biomethane marketTrack record of turning fundamental policy analysis into market making decisionsData scraping skills via coding also a plus – i.e using Python to collate data that we can use to influence our decision makingStrong data visualisation and power point presentation skills – both for internal and external stakeholder purposesFluent in EnglishBoth Dutch and German will be considered as a strong additional advantageIf you think the open position you see is right for you, we encourage you to apply!Our people make all the difference in our success.
